Dr. Scholl's For Her Cozy Cushions

First off just wanted to let yall know that I did get these complimentary from Influenster in my Rose Vodbox.

When looking for a new set of inserts for you shoes that are comfortable and affordable can be pretty tricky. I know personally I have tried so many different brands out there and very few of them actually work. I was pretty excited to get to try these out for free since I was in the market for some new ones with the winter months coming up. So here it is-my review of the cushions!

The first thing that I noticed when I opened the package was how soft and light they were. I thought to myself, wow these my actually be good! After inserting them into my boots and actually wearing my boots, I was impressed by couple of things but disappointed on others. What I totally like about these is that they actually are comfortable! it feels like you are walking in you household slippers-mine are pretty comfortable so this was a plus! They also kept my feet warm and dry when it got nippy outside but it didn't make them sweat when it was warm. It doesn't get very cold down here in South Central Texas except once in a blue moon so this was a nice surprise.

Now onto the cons, uh oh! I was kinda disappointed that they didnt really have arch support so I felt like I have to put a different show insert in just to get that support. With that being said it kinda makes it really tight around my foot when I have to have two supports in. The only other downfall that I had was that they were a little bit too short in length. I wear a size 11/11.5. the shoes inserts on went up to a 10 so it left a little bit of my toes to hang over and it just felt weird. I'm sure most people wont have that issue though!

Overall I would recommend these to ladies that live were it gets cold (keeps you feet really warm!) and for women that have to stand on their feet all day.  So good job Dr. Scholl's! Im impressed as usual by yalls products!

Retro look using Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara

When it comes to completely the ultimate retro look, it actually isn't that hard! The simplest and easiest look is keeping it basic-which is heavy eye shadow, eyeliner and mascara. I use a liquid eyeliner with a very thin tip to get precision going. Eye shadow can be one color for this look-I like using darker colors for this look. For the mascara, I am trying out Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara that was in my Rosebox that I got totally free from Influenster! Its very easy to do a retro look so lets get started!

The first step of a retro look is that more is better! Nowadays gals want to look natural and use mineral based products that are good for your skin. Think about it though. In the 60's, they didn't have all the things that we have today! So starting off with eye shadow, apply one color whether its blue, green, or any color except black. We are going to apply it all over the eyelid all the way up to the brow bone. You should be able to feel your brow bone. If you want a cat look like look and want your angles to be awesome, put a piece of scotch tape at the angle you want from the tip of your eyebrow to the corner of your eye. If not flare it out! Whatever way you chose, just make sure that you have a heavy color coating. Oops gotta back track real quick! Eyebrows in the 60's were full yet arched gracefully. They weren't pencil thin so if you need to be sure to color in your eyebrows before the eye shadow goes on!

When it comes to eyeliner, you can do it as a cat eye or as a normal straight line. The thing that you want to make sure that you do is have a good liquid eyeliner. Pencil liners can work but I prefer liquid because of its precision. Remember more is better! Make it thick and bold! When it comes to mascara, I tried Scandaleyes Retro Glam by Rimmel this time. I absolutely loved it! It gave me bold big eyelashes (which is exactly how it was in the 60's according to my mom!). without clumping. I loved the fact that it dried fast and it didn't smear onto my eye shadow the way some of the past products did. When I put it on my bottom lashes, I had a paper towel under it because I have big hands and tend to accidentally wipe my cheek with it-lol.Overall, I would give Rimmel's Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara a big high 5 for being awesome! I have tried other products this past year and I can say this one impressed me the most! So remember to look at your local stores in Nov 2013 for Rimmel's Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara!
