Ive had other manual choppers before and honestly they just didnt do it for me. They either didnt chop it or they fell apart within a couple uses. I decided to try a chopper one last time but this time I decided to get one that was a little different from the last kinds I had where you just push a button to chop. I decided to get Brieftons Quickpull food chopper because of a few features it had that I hadnt seen before.
This chopper is small yet very effective in its chopping. First off lets go over the parts of it. There is the container that holds the food. On one side of it is is marked in OZ (goes up to 29oz) and other side its ML. This container is used during the chopping process and you can also use it to store the chopped items after you are done.
Next we have the chopping blades. These are 3 stainless steel blades that are staggered at the bottom of the rod to give a multidimensional cut. The second piece is a blending piece. This is just all plastic and is used to blend all your chopped foods after you have used. Finally there is a fresh keep lid so that you can keep your food fresh after chopping and blending it.
So how well does it actually work? On the instructions, it is recommended that soft foods be broken down into golf ball sized and hard to chop foods to even smaller size. When it comes to chopping, you simply pull the green handle. It kinda of is like starting a lawnmower in terms of pulling it. The more you pull it and it retracts back in, making the blades turn. In my video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWfBYTKEKbI) I used 10 grapes and it did a great job at chopping them up!
Overall Im really impressed by this chopper for it being a manual one. Its easy to use and it actually chops up the food like an electric one does. If you want to purchase this great chopper, you can click here. I did get this at a full promotional discount for my unbias review in return.
I have a passion for candles. I love every kind of candle there is but often times, I forget to blow them out before I leave the house, giving to an obvious risk of burning down my house. I started to use diffusers in lieu of my candles. I recently got the Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser 7 Color Changing Led Lights - Portable Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier by Islands Miracle.

I absolutely love this diffuser! Most think they are made the same but this one has a few different features. First thing that I noticed that was different is the fact that it has a design on the front that the light shows through. Ive never owned one that has a design on it so this was definitely a nice touch. Speaking of the light, there are 7 different colors that it goes through (https://youtu.be/CyJc-jmzS8s). You can have it on auto rotate where it goes through all the colors or by simply pressing and holding the on button, it can stay on one particular color. It also has it where you can run it without any light (works great for night time sleeping).

This diffuser holds 170ml of water. There is a fill line that tells you where to stop pouring water at. Then you can add any essential oil scent to it you like. The mist coming out of it is a cool mist so you dont have to worry about anyone getting burned by the steam. There is only one downfall to it (according to me). The lid just rest on the body of the diffuser. I wish that it screwed on so that it it got hit or bumped it wont fall over, spilling water everywhere.

Im fat and its Texas. Its constantly hot-first day of fall-thats a lie. We are still hitting high 90s here. Ive had those fans that are battery operated that spray mist all over you but they suck when batteries start going dead. Then I came across 2-in-1 Mini Fan for iPhone/iPad and Android. These were perfect!
When you get them, they come in individual packages. I got a blue, pink and green one. Each one is silicone so its not going to cut off a finger. By having 3 in an order this means that I can give one to Jack to use on his phone and one to Cameron to use on his power bank without them being babies and crying bout how I have something that they dont. On the back of the packages there are, instructions on how to use them but honestly its pretty easy to figure out. Just plug it into your charger and it starts right up.
Each fan has 2 different ports ends on it. The outer most one is iphones (lightening cable port). Then you can remove the outer port to show the micro charger port. This will work on powerbanks, android phones and anything really that has a micro port. So that means if I wanted to let my baby brother try it out on his phone (he has iphone 6), he could and we wouldnt have to do any weird adapters. I currently use it on my S7 with no problems.
These will not work if you have a case that charges your phone. What I mean is that I have a case on my S7 that when my battery is running low, I press the button and it charges my phone. The only time it will work with this case is if its in charge mode.
They do put out quite a bit of airspeed/power (you can see it in my video). They are small enough that you can carry around in your pocket. Overall I love these! They are better than the battery operated fans-more powerful in my opinion- and they dont eat the charge of your phone (I didnt even notice my % going down after running this for 30 min straight). First of off, this book would be best for a medical student or someone in the nursing industry. As a person with no medical experience or training, i had gotten this book mostly to keep track of what happens at doctors appointments because my husband and I have major medical issues (I have brain tumors and other issues and well Jack has a bunch of other stuff wrong).
The notebook is a little smaller than a standard notebook. It has 100 pages of the same thing on every page. On the left hand side of the page it has - name, DOB, MRN(medical record number), Admit Dates, Room #, gender. Then on the rest of the page it has ID, DDx(differential diagnosis is the distinguishing of a particular disease or condition from others that present similar clinical features) , HPI (HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS), PMH(Past medical history), PSHx (past medical surgeries), FH (family history), Meds, SH, HRB, Allergies.
On the right hand side of the pages it has Skin, neurologic, endocrine, psych, ROS additional notes, Physical exam, pulse, BP, temp, General, labs, assessment, plan and future. While I wont use most of the things on this side of the book, its still very helpful to be able to write down something if the doctor needs (if its something another dr had told us that our other dr needed to know).
The notebook does have pages that can be torn out. If you are going to tear it out be sure to copy whats on the right side of the paper onto the backside of the left hand side of the paper because if not you will be mixing two different pages together.
Overall its been very helpful and the doctor even commented on it about how useful it was for both us and him! If you want to purchase this on amazon, you can click here.

When it comes to essential oils, Im not one to know the difference between grade A quality and crap. I personally like them for diffusing in my diffusers or adding some to little things around the house. I was recently given the chance to review Lavender Essential Oil (Kashmir) - 100% Pure & Natural.
Usually when I see the words Pure and Natural, I usually laugh cause it really isnt the case cause there is so much other crap added into it and then they try to hide it. With this oil, its right there in plain site of what it is comprised of-there is no hiding it! Linalool 31%, Linalyl Acetate 34%. What does that mean to me? Well Linalool is a naturally occurring alcohol that gives it that natural floral smell. Linalyl Acetate is a phytochemical (chemical occurring naturally in plants). So right there you have 65% of the oil as natural. Granted when you turn the bottle around you can read the other products in it. There are only 3 other products on Amazon that have this concentrate.

When it comes to how it smells, it smells lovely! It doesnt have an overwhelming smell to it but its very floral. It does come in an amber bottle so that it wont chemically break down as fast. It has a screw on bottle top and a dropper that comes with it. On the dropper there it states the expiration date (mine is 07/27/19). The liquid itself is a nice clear color-no mustard look to it like others I have seen.
I currently use it for a few things. I added few drops to my homemade laundry detergent, I put some on my pillow so I sleep better at night, and I also rub some on my neck at night when I sleep so I get the scent of it at night. There are lots of other uses for it (that you can google! lol).
If you want to buy this on amazon right now you can click here. I would never recommend something that I havent tried and loved myself. I did get this at a full promotional discount for my unbias review in return.
Lately since my husband, Jack, has finally gotten off his fast food kick, he wants to eat at home. This leads me to the problems of making healthy food that he will eat-he is super picky. I have to learn how to make foods look like something they arent. lol. I was so happy to be able to get Surpahs Cyclone Vertical Self-Pressure 3 In 1 Vegetable Spiralizer because this meant I could feed him healthy stuff and he would never know!
So when you first look at the spiralizer, it comes in a bunch of pieces that might look confusing. It takes about 5 seconds to put together the whole thing. So starting at the top of it and working our way down, lemme explain. The top piece has a release and lock mechanism. This is for the arm that holds the food in place when you crank the side arm to make the food spin. On the bottom side of the vertical arm, there are plastic spikes. This is where you spear the food to hold it in place.
Moving to the part that actually cuts the food, there are 3 different kinds of razors. The first razor gives you a thick spiral cut. This is a stationary blade and will not detach from the unit. Next, there are 2 different other blades. These blades are removable. There is one that has bunch of small blade heads close together-this cuts your food in a very thin spiral. Then you have a blade that has bigger heads that are spaced apart-this one gives you a thicker cut.
In my first pic below, the left hand side cut is the smaller blade cut and the right hand side is the thicker cut. The second pic is the standard cut one that isnt removable. There is a plastic removable bin that collects the food as it is cut. This bin holds quite a bit and is easy to take out to clean. Everything comes apart nicely and compacts for easy storage.
Overall its been really handy! Ive been able to make zucchini noodles rather than using carb filled noodles. My husband hasnt noticed a difference! Please feel free to check out my video below to see it in action.

With fall being around the corner (and hopefully some cooler weather!), its the perfect time to get comfy with a great book near the fireplace and a perfect cup of tea. I have a ton of teas that I love to make but hate having a huge tea kettle especially when I only want a cup. I came across Chef's Secret® 34oz (1L) 18/8 Stainless Steel Tea Kettle and its the perfect size!
This kettle is all stainless steel with fast boiling bottom. It has a plastic handle to make grasping it easier and safer. It has a long spout on it that makes pouring nice and easy. On other kettles, I used to have issues with the tea coming out too fast and splashing everywhere. With this spout, it comes out nice and slow with out splashing boiling hot tea everywhere.
I had my tea kettle filled to almost the top and my stove was at level 9. It took roughly 3.5 min for it to come to a complete boil which is pretty fast.there is no whistle noise that I heard when it came a boil. It does have a small vent on the tip of the lid so that it can relive pressure.
There is only one thing that I didn't like about this kettle and that was the handle. I like that it hasa handle however the fact that it's plastic made it hard to pick up when kettle has boiling water in it. The handle got extremely hot so you will need some kind of MIT when picking it up. Other than that, it's a great kettle.
Please feel free to check out my video. If you would like to purchase this cute and functional kettle on amazon, simply click here.
I would never recommend a product that I didn't try out and like/love myself. I did get this at a full promotional discount for my unbias review in return.
There is something about abstract art that gets me into a very calm, focused mentality. It helps me to be able to sit in front of it and just stare, forgetting all the days woes and stresses. It takes me somewhere that there are no pressures of the world- no nagging from the husband or fighting of the kids. Southwest Art Landscape Oil Painting if the Southwest is one of those paintings that I could stare at for hours and get lost in its peacefulness.
Buying art online is always nerve racking because you dont know for sure if you are going to get what it looks. This is an absolutely gorgeous piece that really does look like the picture on the Amazon listing! There will be no suprises about how it looks when you get it. The pic on the top is the one from the amazon listing and pic on the bottom is what I got.
When you get the three pieces, it looks like abstract art meaning it looks like a bunch of paint just thrown on a canvas. When you put all three pieces together, you see the picture. Its very calming to sit there and just stare at it. Something else that I absolutely love about this piece is that it is actually painted and not just a print on canvas. You can feel the paint/texture when you run your hand across it. This gives it a more personal touch in my opinion.
Each piece is a little over a foot tall (14.2) and about 9.4 inches wide. There are 3 pieces that you can space out or put next to each other. If you have each piece touching each other it is about 2.25ft across for the smaller set. There are 2 different size canvas that you can order. Each canvas has its own teeth hook so you can secure it nicely to the wall.
Granted I know I didnt hang it right-I have slight lazy eye so the husband needs to fix that- but feel free to watch my video of the painting. If you want to see more details and buy this beautiful painting, you can click here.
