Cake Decorating Set Cupcake Decorations 9-Piece For Beginners Baking Supplies

With Cameron being homeschooled this means I have more time to do stuff around the house and to teach him fun stuff. So far he has learned how to wash his own clothes, clean his own bathroom, etc. lol just kidding. We work but we play hard too. Cameron loves to cook and he wanted to know how do people make these awesome cakes with designs. I didnt think he was ready for a nice piping set so I decided to get NewXshop's Cake Decorating 9-Piece set for beginners.


Piping can be hard if you dont know how to do it right. Having tips inside of the bag can be messy or if you are only wanting to do a little bit of icing but have a bunch of different designs, it becomes a pain having to switch out all the tips. This set cuts out all the mess and hassle.
                   
The set is all plastic-there are no springs or working parts that would make it hard to use. There are 8 different tips that you can screw on and off of the tube that holds the icing. The tube itself holds about 10-12 oz of icing. The way you push the icing down the tube is by a manual spring. It simply snaps onto the top on the tube and then you can control the amount of pressure applied to push down the spring to out the icing.

I had tried it out first to see how the designs were going to look. While there are 8 different piping heads, I found that they all looked almost the same coming out. The difference was the thickness of squirt. When Cameron tried it, he said same thing. He said its really easy to use but it really didnt do as many designs as we thought.

Personally I think its dollar store quality. Its feels cheap. Its not the worst I have seen but its definitely not worth $15 dollars. I would sell it maybe for $5-$8.
